WE HAVE TAKEN DELIVERY
Today we took the final brief from Chris at Sunbird Yachts, filled in the Beneteau check list and set up the final payment. We now have the keys and have started the loading of goods and equipment, which constitutes our whole life's belongings from now on.
We are a bit worried about stowage space, so will make the aft port cabin into a storage room. Here we will store the tools, bikes, spares, extra clothes, Heathers shoes etc. The wine will have to go into the bilges. The fishing rods, dive cylinders, kedge anchor and spare chain and rope will go into the lazarette lockers.
A very interesting blog with so much in common. I too was born in Kitale, Parents owned Buck's Garage and farmed on Endebess road. I Missed Kitale School reunion. I used to do a lot of sailing in the 80's including North Carolina to Malaga and a few Fastnets! Now living in Southern Brazil.
ReplyDeleteHello Mike
DeleteI sent you an email but was not sure it went through. I remember you very well. The garage as well, although not quite sure where your farm was. Have you been back to see them?
Sailing is a sort of late life passion of mine. I love the technology and the adventure it brings. Im not much into racing probably because I never really tried it.
Keep in touch.
All the best.
