About us (the crew)

We are two newly retired people who have too much energy to retire to a little house in town. Instead we want to sail and see for ourselves as many wonders as we can in all the corners of this vast globe.

We purchased our Beneteau new at the 2012 Southampton Boat Show, sailed her for two years off Western Scotland, then started our long distance trip in early 2015, crossing the English Channel in the spring, spending quality time in France, Spain, Portugal, Madeira, Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands and the Caribbean.

Heather Halahan-Gibson.
Was born in UK but lived in Luxembourg. Speaks fluent Luxembourgish, German, French, English. She started work in a well know cargo airline then joined the banking community in Luxembourg. She married Tony and they brought up three children together. In early 2013 she changed her life and became a new explorer and adventurer.

Anthony Halahan. (Tony)
Was born in Nairobi and moved to UK in 1969. Attended an Aeronautical College and joined an airline in Luxembourg. Had an adventurous work experience travelling quite a lot for business and privately on the company aircraft. Met Heather at work. Brought up a family of 3 children. Now retired and embarking on the adventure that has been on hold for a considerable time.
